Front End Developer

Summary: The Front-End Web Developer is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the user experience, look, and feel of Web Applications for ANA websites and online communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work inside the software team to implement the front-end experiences for ANA websites and online communities using Web front-end technologies (HTML/CSS and javascript).
  • Work with the marketing department to provide direction on user experience and graphic design concept creation.
  • Implement graphic design in HTML/CSS, starting from Photoshop assets and concept design.
  • Provide estimates to the software team on graphic design implementation tasks based on concept design artifacts.
  • Learn and maintain existing front-end code and provide support and updates to existing and future applications.
  • Communicate directly with other departments and answer technical support questions.
  • Handle feedback regarding features and bugs in an organized manner to improve the quality of ANA’s software.
  • Maintain good and frequent communication with the marketing department and with other departments.

Position Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency with HTML/CSS.
  • Familiar with Javascript, and front-end MVC (Model-View-Control) Frameworks.
  • Familiar with Django template language or other server side templating language.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently on projects.
  • Detail oriented and dedicated to write maintainable front-end code.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s of Science degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong Experience with HTML/CSS. Including CSS3 advanced features (animation, gradients, etc.)
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with Django template language or similar server side template languages.
  • Familiarity with ANA’s catalog of board, card, and roleplaying games.
  • Personal web project related to the Hobby Games market.
  • Links to personal web projects related to the hobby games market are highly valued during the interview process.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
