We are looking to hire a PICK PROGRAMMER to join our corporate Los Angeles, CA team. You will serve as a support to our growing MIS Team.

Responsibilities

7-10 years generic PICK experience (EG UNIVERSE, UNIDATA, D3, UNIBASIC, INFOBASIC).

• (Preferred ) 5 years coding specific to U.S. Customs Tariff regulations & Freight forwarding
• Heavy Knowledge of REVERSE ENGINEERING Programming & Processes
• (Excellent Analysis, Design, Debugging, Reverse Engineering Skills.)
• Strong knowledge of (UNIX (RED HAT) Background.
• Working knowledge of HPUX basic commands 7-10 years of experience in design, development and support of Universe/Pick/Multi-value applications
• Some Networking experience a plus
• 7-10 years of experience in database administration and support of Universe databases: Provides the following system development functions-analysis and design, software development (including new coding testing, documentation, and implementation) and maintenance of both new and existing software applications.
• Excellent problem solving skills, flexible and able to handle multiple responsibilities and competing demands.
• Provides additional support functions in terms of monitoring critical application processes, schedule processes & user processes.
• Responds to critical alerts in a timely manner (Provides on-call support functions as needed). Experience supporting users and management on a minimal technical basis

Qualifications

• (Preferred ) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Information Systems.
• Or, equivalent years of previous experience.
• Communicate effectively with the end users to understand issues or to take new requests.

• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with Internal and External Customers.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task well.
• Good judgment skills and ability to make decisions.

Languages

• Fluent in English.
