VMware is a leader in virtualization solutions that enable our enterprise customers in powering their public and private cloud infrastructures. VMware Cloud Foundation group is an exciting and fast paced organization within VMware, with the goal of simplifying the build up and consumption of Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) for our customers. We launched our product "SDDC Manager" in 2016 and are in a startup like mode of rapid growth.

SDDC Manager is at the core of both on-prem/private SDDC of our customers, as well as in public clouds offered by partners like IBM SL, and VMware on AWS. It has three primary objectives:

1. Automate (through UI / API) deployment and configuration of a complex set of VMware software for compute/network/storage virtualization through vSphere/NSX/vSAN respectively.

2. Life Cycle Manage (LCM) these set of products (patch/upgrade) while maintaining their inter-operability.

3. Offer the capability of defining and managing "domains" as a unit of SDDC consumption through templated feature sets.

If you are a passionate Software Developer who loves to learn new technology and apply them towards delivering production ready software, we are looking for you. As part of the Domain Manager team within VMware Cloud Foundation organization you shall contribute towards major initiatives:

1. You shall help customers consume SDDC through workload domains. These shall form the building blocks of their use cases. Many complex end to end solutions can then be built on top of different domains. You shall enable customers to create and manage such domains through full automation.

2. You will help our customers consume domains themselves in more meaningful ways. You shall offer them more granularity by creating and managing clusters within domains. You shall then help them expand and shrink domains by adding and removing clusters and hosts.

3.You shall be working with our Product Managers in defining domain templates. These cover specific customer use cases. You shall then be responsible for building the next level of features related to customer’s workload domains like domain cloning, sharing, etc. via the use of templates.

4. You shall develop public APIs that shall be consumed by both our public cloud partners directly, and our own User Interface.

We are we looking for?

• A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Have you been hands on into software development for 7 years or more?
• You having in-depth working knowledge of advanced Java concepts and Spring framework is significant for this role.
• Are you confident about your CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures)?
• Your strong debugging skills will help build a robust system.
• Positive work attitude and an excellent teammate will help you and us succeed.
• Are you familiar with VMware products? It is not mandatory.
