Medical Billing Specialist

Are you an experienced medical billing specialist looking for an opportunity to advance your career? Our office is combining with a second office and is a growing healthcare organization that is currently seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to work in our Revenue Cycle Services Division.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, with the skills necessary to bill/rebill outstanding claims and reduce outstanding days in A/R. The successful candidate must be flexible and able to work on multiple tasks at the same time, be able to prioritize and provide feedback. Analysis and in-depth evaluation skill are a plus.

Need to have a multi-specialty background to include family practice, radiology/ultrasound, laboratory and infusion, to start.

New medical/billing graduates need not apply at this time. We are in need of an experienced individual.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Work outstanding claims and report trends-

Reconciling and balancing a daily deposit log-

Data entry of payments and adjustments in a timely fashion-

Manage status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies-

Take incoming patient phone calls related to patient statements-

Communicate directly with client via email and phone

Skills: –

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Biller-

Excellent customer service and communication skills-

Proficiency in Excel-

Ability to quickly learn medical billing software –

Strong understanding of clearinghouses and how to function inside them-

Proficiency in the operation of EMRs-

Ability to function well in a team as well as an individual

Salary will be dependent on experience.
