Mechanical Engineer

EMJAC Industries is seeking a Engineer for our custom Stainless Doors division.

Summary/Objective:

The Engineer will need to create and/or revise submittal drawings, develop flat patterns and bill of materials for manufacture of stainless steel doors and frames.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare customer submittal drawings using specifications, floor plans, door schedules, hardware schedules and quotation details.
• Work in conjunction with Door Engineering Manager and Sales Engineer to ensure all drawings meet customer requirements, company standards and regulatory compliance.
• Research hardware details (templates, preparations, functions, etc.) of customer specified and/or provided items.
• Create sheet metal flat patterns, materials cut lists and stock requisitions necessary for the manufacture of doors and frames in accordance with company manufacturing techniques and requirements specified in customer drawings.
• Team with Manager and co-workers in continuing product and process improvement.
• Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and technical school training with related work experience.
• Experienced in the use of 2D and 3D CAD software; PTC/Creo Parametric and AutoCad preferred. Min. 1 year.
• Minimum Work Experience: 1 year in the industry.
