Mechanical Engineer

Be part of a team of dedicated engineers who design and build Wet Process, Cleaning and Support Tools for the Semiconductor, MEMs, Photovoltalic and Compound Semiconductor Industries including Universities.

Prepares mechanical and plumbing designs and fabrication drawings for systems, components and parts. Develops new products as part of a team. Contributes to all phases of product development including specifications, design, testing and verification.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical parts and assemblies using Solidworks 3D CAD software. Responsible for mechanical, automation, and assists plumbing, PI&D and tank drawings for systems, following engineering specifications. Aids in the development of system and engineering specifications. Reviews and improves specifications based on feasibility and modifies drawings by studying requirement changes over time. Prepares final drawings and develops approval drawing layouts when assigned.
  • Provides timely feedback on manufacturing questions/request for information. Verifies that product is being manufactured as per specifications and resolves discrepancies, following-up with the necessary changes to drawings, routers and BOMs to ensure full issue resolution.
  • Prepares bill of materials, routers and manufacturing instructions.
  • Ensures that Engineering efforts are completed in time to meet system manufacturing timelines and ship dates.
  • Contributes to team effort by achieving results. Works cooperatively and coordinates activities and designs with other engineering team members. Communicates design constraints and works within the team to achieve solutions.

Job Requirements

  • BSME or equivalent, MSME preferred. Prefer 5 years experience in system design or related
  • Proficient use of 2D and 3D modeling with experience in manufacturing processes and materials.Ability to design in 3 dimensions.
  • Excellent root cause problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively and clearly present and express written and verbal information to individuals and/or groups required and contribute to technical debates that leads to better designs.
  • Team oriented approach with the desire to both teach and learn from others.
  • Excellent written and oral communications

Salary: $50,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
