Job Description

This position will support our Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) and B-1 customers, by solving mechanical sustainment issues. The sustainment projects address obsolete components in mechanical and electro-mechanical systems.

The engineer duties are as follows:

-Provide technical solutions

-Assist with the design, integration, and installation of sustainment projects

-Develop technical documentation and publications relating to users, systems, processes, work flows, operations, products, and services

-Work with other engineers to ensure proper system artwork generation

-Implement, install and verify design changes

-Write Engineering Change Orders as required

Education/Experience: This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of two (2) years of general mechanical engineering experience. Allowable substitution: A master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering which includes mechanical engineering experience. Aerospace or military experience is desired.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate will have knowledge of finite element analysis techniques and experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD. The selected candidate must have proficient oral and written communication skills.
