Mechanical Engineer

Design, fabricate, and test prototype aerospace mechanical fasteners.

Duties:
Research and analyze design proposals, specifications, and industry standards to determine feasibility of design or application.

• Design mechanical products, application tools, and test procedures.
• Fabricate prototype products.
• Develop methods and procedures for testing.
• Test products.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited four-year college or university in Mechanical Engineering.
• Prior experience in a related field, industry, or work environment is considered a positive asset, but not required.
• Sufficient machining skills to produce simple prototypes and tooling.
• Working knowledge of Auto CAD, or other electronic drafting program.
• Ability to write clearly and informatively; present numerical data effectively.
• Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
• Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
