Mechanical Design Engineer

Own all phases of the design process and facilitate completion of assigned projects. Develop 2D and 3D CAD models for detail components, subassemblies, and assemblies for a given project. Draft, dimension, and tolerance accurate machine drawings and assembly prints to facilitate the manufacturing and assembly process. Troubleshoot design issues during the manufacturing, assembly, and plant integration process. Develop bill of materials (BOM) and technical manuals for completed projects. Assist customers with troubleshooting of installed equipment and mechanical systems.

Prior 3D design experience is necessary, at least 2+ years is preferred.

Mechanical aptitiude and understanding of mechanical systems is necessary.

Familiarity with interpreting and applying GD & T standards is necessary; must have understanding of engineering concepts, component sourcing, and general design principles.

Must be able to read and interpret electrical and/or mechanical schematics.

Must be computer literate, with the ability to read and communicate efficiently and correctly in English. Must have a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.

Occasional travel may be required.

Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCad is preferred.

Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience/understanding is a plus.

Ability to interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics is preferred.
