MEAN Stack Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a MEAN stack developer who will bring added knowledge and frameworks to our talented web engineering team. This role will work closely with the web team located in Pembroke Pines, FL. Responsibilities and Duties

YOUR ROLE: Web Developer

• Work closely with our team of designers and developers to build exceptional products
• Use the MEAN stack to build full-stack web applications
• Lead projects and mentor junior developers
• Communicate project plans, progress, and scope to clients
• Challenge us to push the envelope and broaden our collective skill sets
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM SDLC
• Should care deeply about the quality and aesthetics of code you produce, and always strive to be better
• Work closely on a cross functional team including other developers, designers, Project Managers, QA, etc
• Participate in code and architecture reviews

Qualifications and Skills

YOUR EXPERIENCE: Basic Qualifications

• Experience in working with Javascript on either the front-end or the back-end of a web application
• 4+ years in software development in MEAN stack
• 4+ years in software development in a team environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field * Preferred Skills
• 4-5 years work experience
• Knowledge of modern Javascript including ES2017
• Experienced and interested in Elixir, Java, Python, Node.JS , Phoenix Elixir, or other backend programming language or framework
• Proficiency in front-end languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience with one or more front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Backbone, ReactJS or Ember)
• Experience with Ruby a plusFamiliarity with SQL; no-SQL a plus
• Experience leading projectsFamiliar with all phases of the software development life-cycle
• Interest in a client-facing consultant roleStrong breadth of languages and frameworks (specifically Java, Node.JS , .NET)
• Expertise in test-driven development (TDD) methodology and tools
• Have worked in Agile environment (Scrum preferred)
• Familiarity with both version control (git) and one or more cloud hosting providers (e.g. Heroku)
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and development tools like Amazon Web Services & Firebase
• Familiarity with SOAs and Microservice architectures
• An interest in management
