Master Scheduler/Planner

AppleTree Staffing is partnering with a leader in the aerospace manufacturing industry here in the Indianapolis area to help them identify a Master Scheduler/Production Scheduler to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with manufacturing, engineering, material planning, shipping, and sales on needs, deliverables, and constraints
• Monitor dates in the system and update as necessary
• Compare estimated hours and actual hours upon completion of a job for future accuracy
• Utilize ERP scheduling software for operations and materials scheduling
• Set up and edit resources, capabilities, shifts, and other variables that impact scheduling accuracy
• Prioritize and manage materials to prevent unused expired materials
• Make schedule adjustments to meet changing deadlines and communicate all adjustments to relevant departments
• Educate other departments of how their actions affect the ERP system and the master schedule
• Maintain accurate completion dates of all jobs scheduled
• Continue to optimize the ERP system to match scheduling and other department needs
• Provide relevant data to managers through the use of dashboards and other data tools

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Production Control, Scheduling, Quoting, or Material Planning required
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and general scheduling software
• Experience in a low volume/high mix production environment preferred
• Extensive production, plant, and process knowledge required
• Extensive experience with ERP systems required
