Marketing Operations Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Operations Coordinator is a key position within the organization which will require the candidate to touch many aspects of the business. Key responsibilities will include; implementation of internal and external company marketing strategies and initiatives, assisting and supporting the operations team, lease administration and liaising with the Maryland Aviation Administration. In the conduct of everyday business this position must achieve the highest standards of health, safety and fire prevention for employees, customers and others affected by business operations and give Health & Safety the highest priority at all times.

In addition, the Marketing Operations Coordinator will possess the necessary skills to problem solve, manage multiple projects and deliver results through collaboration and accountability. The ideal candidate will possess a unique background that includes both a strong creative skillset as well as the ability to think analytically while managing multiple projects. This role will require flexible working hours including periodic night and weekend shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the day-to-day marketing implementation of the “AIRMALL®” by acting as a liaison between the tenants, Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA), airlines, and AIRMALL Maryland (AMM). Facilitate tenant and AMM commercial activities on the Airport.
  • Assist in the development of and execution of marketing communication campaigns.
  • Assist tenants in merchandise selection, point of purchase material, store displays, signage, etc.
  • Coordinate with MAA and Airmall Agency to communicate new store openings and other brand initiatives.
  • Monitor “street pricing” with the tenant shops to ensure strict compliance with AIRMALL company policy and guidelines. Ongoing maintenance of documentary evidence and promoting awareness of street pricing.
  • Provide strong and regular communication and feedback to tenants by disseminating airport information, communicating QSM results, sharing sales rankings, etc. Function as a direct liaison between the tenants and MAA in all matters requiring MAA contact.
  • Help facilitate the creation of marketing campaigns with creative agency and internal marketing teams.
  • Track, analyze, and evaluate marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Coordinate social media management with external agency. Monitor social media channels, including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.
  • Utilize Content Management Systems to manage and update web properties to ensure consistency with current marketing initiatives. Update and audit location hours and contact information to ensure accuracy.
  • Review creative materials prior to dissemination to ensure specifications match those agreed upon.
  • Help execute, manage, and fulfill in-house marketing or social media contests and promotions.
  • Attend meetings as directed by the Director of Operations.
  • Develop relationships with Maryland Aviation Administration at the appropriate levels.*

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with Leasing, Marketing and Administration as needed and function as a flexible member of the Operations team.
  • Provide key operational input into development decisions and constantly strive to drive the business to a higher level.
  • Develop strategies to help underperforming tenants achieve acceptable levels of performance.
  • Assist in any other project assignments as approved through the Director of Operations.
  • Work as needed with external resources, vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that tenants are adhering to health and safety guidelines set forth in the “AIRMALL®” Operating Procedures and monitor health and safety on a daily basis in order to guarantee that health and safety standards are at the highest level. Maintain documentary evidence of all appropriate paperwork. To give Health & Safety the highest priority at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a marketing role and routing creative material to the necessary departments for execution.
  • Proven track record of managing marketing campaigns, implementing marketing initiatives, and involvement with Brand building strategies.
  • Experience with technology and social media tactics.
  • Creative and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide independent assessment of how operations are executing against marketing plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), with the ability to present concepts clearly and accurately and to keep others informed.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to drive alignment on priorities with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of coordinating, managing and delivering small or large scale projects simultaneously.
  • Possess working knowledge of Demographic studies and practical application to the business.
  • High level of computer literacy skills, including Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, CMS and basic database usage required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, as well as an understanding of image formats is a plus.
  • Proven time management, and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starting, capable of working independently while also functioning and contributing as part of a fast-paced team.
  • Ability to translate strategy into creative concepts.
  • Ability to interact professionally and appropriately with all team members and guests / general public.
  • AA/BA in Marketing Management or related/relevant areas preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to remain in a seated position for sustained periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands for reaching, handling papers, picking up the telephone, typing on a computer, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility including bending and stooping for the duration of a workday.
  • Ability to move freely throughout all approved areas of the airport and Corporate Office.
  • Ability to travel to all Company Properties, client, partner and vendor locations as needed.
