JOB DESCRIPTION:
KontrolFreek is seeking a highly-organized and motivated team-player with good judgment to provide a broad range of marketing and communications support as Marketing Coordinator. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with 1-3 years of experience who is comfortable working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced marketing environment. The Marketing Coordinator’s responsibilities will include project coordination, event management, promotion strategy and sponsorship marketing. The ability to establish new and foster existing relationships is a must.

MARKETING COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sponsorship/Partnership Marketing

Coordinate relationships and execution of co-marketing activities with endemic and non-endemic partners.

Identify and source new potential partners for brand growth.

Meet brand awareness, community growth and sales objectives aligned to co-marketing efforts.

Promotions, Sales & Special Projects

Coordinate campaigns associated with sweepstakes, promotions and online sales.

Coordinate and schedule marketing and communications initiatives associated with promotional campaigns.

Project manage campaigns to ensure deliverables are met for these activities.

Meet brand awareness, community growth and sales objectives aligned to sales and promotions.

Follow trends in the gaming and events industries and share with colleagues.

Event Marketing

Develop and execute event marketing strategies and maintain the company’s event marketing calendar.

Communicate deadlines and project needs/milestones to internal team and vendors to ensure deadlines are met.

Coordinate participation in events, sponsorships, and speaking engagements as required; must be able to manage all logistics associated with on-site event production.

Meet brand awareness, community growth and sales objectives aligned to event participation.

Provide a recap of event success and identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Coordinate and track individual event budgets.

MARKETING COORDINATOR DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree in business, journalism, marketing, communications or a related field is preferred.

One-to-three years of experience in marketing communications or a related field with demonstrated experience developing and executing a wide range of marketing/communications initiatives.

Experience in merchandising, online marketing and/or e-commerce preferred.

Interest or experience in the video games industry a plus; knowledge of video games preferred.

Excellent written/verbal communications skills and attention to detail are a must.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically, manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Works well under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced team environment while meeting critical deadlines.

MARKETING COORDINATOR TECHNICAL SKILLS and SOFTWARE:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, plus the ability to quickly learn and work with new systems and software.

Solid understanding of current best practices in marketing/communications, including traditional and digital marketing.
