Role Description

Supporting Pfizer Essential Health (PEH) business unit, specifically the US sterile injectables product groups, the Marketing Associate supports the day-to-day Portfolio activities for products with a supply constraint. The Marketing Associate works with internal Portfolio Managers to help execute products with supply constraints using Pfizer’s systems, including SAP, wholesale data/852 data and Insight. S/he will support the Portfolio team’s tactical needs: identify and release by report products in short supply or on allocation and maintain the Pfizer Injectables Availability Report; gather forms for new product launches and also assist with PowerPoint presentations. S/he will require self-direction and the ability to support manager’s ongoing directives associated with supply.

Responsibilities

  • Tactical support of activities to effectively aid with products in short supply. Execute strategies as outlined by their manager and Portfolio Managers by leveraging tools in SAP and Insight: including Allocation, Reserve, Drop Ship, and back order releases for all assigned Pfizer Injectables products.
  • Provides timely updates on product status to Customer Service colleagues, so that have they have the most accurate and up to date information from which to work and are able to minimize the impact on both our trading partners and ultimately the patients who depend on our products.
  • Provides updates of supply issues to managers and collates supply challenges across portfolio for manager review.
  • Responsible for the data for a comprehensive weekly Product Status Report for all Pfizer business unit stakeholders.
  • Aids in collecting data for alerts to external industry organizations for all supply constraints for Pfizer Injectables products.
  • Gathers data for ad hoc operational reporting requests from management, Finance, Portfolio team and others.
  • Provides Customer Service team members with product supply status updates.
  • Works with the SAP team and management to research, troubleshoot and provide resolution on allocation issues, inventory discrepancies, material status issues, and logistic open orders.
  • Work with Customer Service Specialists, Trade Operations Management, Business Technology (BT) resources, Distribution Center staff.
  • This position is located in north suburban Chicago/Lake Forest; local candidates only; no relocation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; General Business, finance or marketing degree ideal
  • 1-2 year experience in Customer Service
  • Experience with relational data base report development (such as industry market data, product, product specific financial data, financial data)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft Access and the handling and analyzing of large amounts of data preferred
  • strong communication and analytical skills
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical trade business, including order management and distribution operations, a plus

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work performed in an office/desk environment.
