Marketing and Events Coordinator

Väsen Brewing Company is opening a new 20-barrel, 14,000 square foot brewery and 4,000 square foot tasting room/outdoor patio space in the Scott’s Addition neighborhood this summer. As we get closer to our opening we are ready to add another integral role to our team. We are now seeking a Marketing and Events Coordinator to create and execute strong marketing programs that drive sales and build the Väsen brand through overall brand management, public relations, event marketing, advertising, social media communications, and community outreach.

Responsibilities

• Consistently improve and develop the Väsen culture and brand.
• Develop and execute marketing and media plans, including brand marketing, sponsorship and community development, social media, public relations, trade marketing, events, and field marketing.
• Manage all aspects of the voice of Väsen Brewing Company to build brand awareness and develop loyalty internally, through our distribution partners, with consumers, and with the media.
• Develop and manage private and public events with the brewery.
• Initiate and develop strong relationships with event personnel and external vendors.
• Work with Sales to develop product promotions and implement supporting media, POS, and merchandise.
• Oversee inbound web and social media communications to answer questions quickly, identify any potential problems, and develop engaging interactions with followers and media.
• Manage strategic and community philanthropic efforts.

Qualifications

• A love for beer and the outdoors.
• 2+ years brand marketing experience in consumer packaged goods, beverage, bar/restaurant or hospitality fields.
• Strong background in events and hospitality management.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations or related field preferred.
• Proven record of developing sales through grassroots, guerilla and social marketing campaigns.
• Illustration and/or design skills strongly preferred.
• Highly motivated with ability to organize and manage multiple responsibilities, work independently and cross functionally with teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; open, transparent, and honest.
