Description

Job Description:

Drives continuous improvement of manufacturing processes through use of DBS Kaizen tools such as Standard Work, Transactional Process Improvement, Single Minute Exchange of Die and Variation Reduction.

Facilitates Kaizen and DIVE teams to ensure correct use of DBS tools.

Identifies cost-savings and quality improvement projects in assigned area(s) and move them from concept to implementation.

Develops and writes SOP’s to support process changes and or implementation of new processes and or equipment ensuring manufacturing documents are created, updated and incompliance with company standards.

Develops, enhances, implements and maintains manufacturing methods, techniques, processes, and tooling on fabricated parts, components, subassemblies and final products.

Provides guidance for engineering technicians on assigned tasks and projects.

Interfaces with the Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing functions as well as suppliers to conduct problem solving activities.

Coordinates the launch of new product designs and enhancements to existing product designs to ensure smooth transition to full production.

Manages process changes to the production floor to ensure smooth transition to full production.

Assures smooth implementation of new and revised product and process designs into production by creating change plans that include qualification test plans.

Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to ensure smooth transition of new or enhanced product and/or processes to full production.

Participates in or lead problem solving team projects

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent with 0-2 years work experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel, Advanced skills in Excel and VBA preferred.
