Manufacturing Engineering Internship

Purpose: To assist their specific department with daily operations

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or pursuing one

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge desktop/laptop hardware
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers*

Major Duties and Job Responsibilities:

• Identifying and resolving process-related inefficiencies and championing process improvement projects
• Evaluating and improving workstation layouts and process flow; developing time/motion standards for manufacturing processes
• Developing and maintaining standardize work instructions
• Developing and maintaining packaging formulas
• Conducting cost analysis and capacity analysis
• Aid in CAE simulation set up and analysis (Elsyca).
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand or walk on concrete floor for 8+ hours; lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Requires hand, arm, back, and leg strength; also bending and squatting ability
• Must have eye, foot, and hand coordination, and be able to do repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor manipulation
• Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures & perform work indoors / outdoors as needed
