Manufacturing Engineer

Summary: Plan, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Knowledge in resistance welding, helium Mass Spec Testing, laser weld and cutting, various assembly processes and leak test operations.

Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.

Ability to troubleshoot when necessary.

Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow.

Designs layout of equipment and workplace for maximum efficiency.

Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.

Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchases.

Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

Estimates productions times, staffing requirements, and relates costs to provide information for management decisions.

Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.

Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

Experience:

• Automotive supplier manufacturing requirements such as APQP, PFMEAs, PPAP, SWIs and GD & T preferred
• Industrial/mechanical engineering
• Lean manufacturing
• CAD experience

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four- year college or technical school preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $75,000.00 /year
