Manufacturing Engineer

Assist/develops and maintains production plans, perform Earned Value Management, support project engineering in production planning and scheduling. Create and maintain detailed manufacturing work instructions/Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP’S) and movement/handling procedures for the assembly, integration, and test of Airship subsystems . Participate in preparation and review of engineering designs, changes and initial engineering release to insure producibility of the product. Establish manufacturing processes/process flows used for production of the deliverable product. Determine tooling and facility requirements for program manufacturing operations including tool concept definition. The activities include;: equipment selection/usage, technical issues, new technologies, program design groups, and IPTs regarding design concepts, specification requirements and producibility reviews. Individual will work with engineers & R&D staff and technicians to provide quality technical support to the areas they are assigned, and meet customer schedule/cost objectives while achieving mission success.. Assist in project cost estimating activities. Participate in Lean/6 Sigma/LM21 Projects.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related degree discipline, from an accredited college or equivalent education and experience. Experiencing with process specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
