The Manager, Global Travel & Expense Services is responsible for WestRock’s global travel, corporate card and purchasing card programs. This individual will oversee relationship management of travel suppliers, policy, compliance, and online solutions. In addition, this position is responsible for the development and execution of the travel program strategy, traveler safety and satisfaction and contributing to WestRock’s cost savings initiatives.

This position can be based in either Atlanta, GA or Richmond, VA.


HOW YOU WILL IMPACT WESTROCK:
Travel Services
  • The Global Travel Manager will manage relationships with the global travel management firm and travel partners measuring service levels, continuous improvement and controlling costs
  • Manage global online booking processes/tools, measuring volume, employee adoption and compliance with policy
  • Manage designated airline, car rental and hotel suppliers, resolving service issues and overall governance of contracts
  • Coordinate the development of global reporting tools for management and business units, monitoring travel spend and employee compliance
  • Lead travel supplier negotiations for domestic and international service providers
    Interact with employees, management and suppliers to lead focus groups, traveler satisfaction surveys and to resolve employee issues
  • Develop and communicate Business Travel Policy, monitoring and assuring compliance
  • Communicate global travel program values and benefits to employees through newsletters, business unit communication and internal travel website
  • Manage internal travel website keeping content current and ensuring information accuracy
  • Benchmark industry standards and new industry trends

Travel and Entertainment Expense Reporting
  • Coordinate Concur program updates/changes and problem resolutions with technical support group with cross-functional interaction of WestRock’s human resources, accounting, and other internal partners
  • Identify and participate in global expense reporting choices and implementation
  • Coordinate the development of reporting tools for business units with supply chain analysis, monitoring travel spend and employee compliance
  • Support and/or oversee training sessions and quick resource guides for use of the online booking tool and expense management system.


Corporate Card & Purchasing Card
  • Provide leadership and development of the Program Administrators and Analyst
    Manage corporate card program, developing company hierarchy for card issuance and reporting
    Lead implementation of global card programs; manage reporting and compliance
    Oversee the high-level administration of Corporate Card Program(s)
    Coordinate supplier negotiation and selection with corporate services procurement department
  • Provide first line of defense of audit and compliance monitoring of cardholder’s proper use of cards
  • Deliver monthly reporting to a variety of channels
  • Lead strategic relationship management with card providers and overall governance of the card programs

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Bachelors’ degree or comparable work experience, with strong preference in global travel
    3 – 5 years management experience in corporate travel with a large, multinational organization
    3 – 5 years project management and team leadership experience
  • Experience managing card programs
  • Proven success initiating and driving change management initiatives
  • Strong technology skills including travel/airline programs and Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational, communication and written skills
  • Ability to travel 10%-20%, including some international travel
