Manager, Integrated Marketing Communications

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join our team in the position of Manager, Integrated Marketing Communication based in our Daytona Beach, FL office.

As member of the NASCAR Integrated Marketing Communications team, this position will be responsible for driving day-to-day proactive media relations, support communications efforts across all IMC units and lead integration efforts. This position will focus on generating consistent, high-level earned news coverage around the company’s key strategic initiatives and events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Spearhead media outreach efforts to NASCAR core and non-endemic outlets around key strategic initiatives and events, including premier race events, driver media tours, enterprise storytelling and local market programs, NASCAR playoffs, at-track media immersions, Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Champion’s Tour among others

Strategically place consistent, robust positive news, sports, feature, business, lifestyle and enterprise stories with national and major market print, broadcast and digital media

Mine for, identify and package rich story-telling opportunities that convey NASCAR’s on-track and off-track attributes and communicate key messages

Leverage network of personal contacts to generate earned media coverage; develop rapport with new non-endemic outlets, generating opportunities to introduce them to the sport and reach broad audiences

Produce well-written materials, including but not limited to pitch documents, communications plans, press releases, message points and program PR recaps

Integrate with other IMC department tacticians and key business units, and identify alignment opportunities

Participate in the quantitative and qualitative measurement and analysis of the return on investment of various IMC-driven programs and initiatives

Approximate travel 10%, including some weekends

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with specialization in Marketing or Communications preferred with a minimum of (6) years of related experience in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Corporate / Brand Communications and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
