Function Specific Activities:
The Operating Expenses Center of Excellence (OPEX COE) provides critical financial support and expertise to the North America organization by leveraging best practices, collaboration tools and capabilities to efficiently and effectively manage operating expenditures. The Operating Expenses Center of Excellence (OPEX COE) currently provides management and stewardship to the North America Enabling Functions, USA Operations also partners with other The Coca-Cola Company organizations as appropriate. The Center of Excellence also manages North America Group corporate charges, annual incentive payments, restructuring and one-time costs in collaboration with key business partners across The Coca-Cola Company system.

The Financial Services Manager, I – Operating Expenses Center of Excellence will be responsible for managing operating expenditures for assigned North America Enabling Functions as well as Group and Corporate Chargebacks providing general finance and accounting guidance to client groups as appropriate.

Additional responsibilities include:
Annual Business Plan development in collaboration with ongoing client management routines

Monthly rolling estimate management which includes providing critical performance insights and RE recommendations to clientele

Performance management reporting and analysis (actuals versus plan, rolling estimate and prior year variance analysis and narrative results submissions)

Ongoing Risks and Opportunities management and performance of rigorous mitigation analysis for client recommendation and action

Client training and education on standard operating procedures, procurement and operating disbursement best practices as well as enforcement of internal control requirements

Evaluation of current processes to drive OE principles for standardization and simplification

Financial Systems Management for business plan and rolling estimate deliverables within the BPC reporting platform

Management of the annual capital planning process on behalf of client groups as well as development and submission of RFAs for approved capital projects

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Related field; CPA or MBA preferred

Professional Experience:
Minimum 5 – 7 years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance related roles

Strong budget portfolio management skills across

Advanced Microsoft Excel and data mining experience needed to synthesize trends and communicate insights to clients and Finance management

Prior experience and exposure to the month end close and rolling estimate process for Corporate and/or North America a plus

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence a broad client base across Finance and Business

Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements

Proven ability to communicate effectively to various levels of associates across the organization
