Manager, Corporate Accounting and Compliance

NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Manager, Corporate Accounting and Compliance based in our corporate headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL.

The Manager, Corporate Accounting and Compliance will be responsible for managing the internal audit function by assessing control risks, identifying key controls, documenting policies and procedures, developing and executing approved audit program and reporting findings and recommendations to Senior Management. Also, assists with financial projects as needed.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assess the policies, procedures and control structure of the Finance department. Provide management recommendations for change.

Lead financial projects to improve processes and compliance

Conduct risk assessments and identify controls in place to mitigate identified risks.

Supervise documentation of processes and key controls through the use of narratives and flowcharts.

Plan and manage the financial and operational reviews/audits.

Supervise performance of audits procedures to assess the effectiveness of controls (include race day operations at the tracks).

Assist with implementing and tracking management’s action plan with regard to findings, recommendations, and process improvements.

Analyze detailed business processes/transactions to assess overall effectiveness and efficiency of process as well as evaluate control related issues.

Provide financial support for initiatives and financial projects under the direction of the senior leadership team.

Other duties may be assigned.

Approximately 5% overnight travel required.

Qualifications include the following:

Master’s degree (M. A.) or equivalent in Accounting or Finance plus four (4) to six (6) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Some public accounting experience preferred. Must have strong internal audit and accounting skills.
