Job Description:
CICS Environment Configuration – Provide mainframe subject matter expertise; assess CICS High Availability Strategies as proposed by the client’s Infrastructure Group; ensure proper documentation, quality reviews with the Mainframe Integration and Architecture teams:

CICSPlex Architecture

New CICS Environment Buildouts

Design MQ Availability Strategies

VSAM RLS implementation

Application Remediation Design Patterns

DB2 Stored Procedure Remediation – coordinate the implementation of HA compliant connection strings in online functions

Create functions to services cross-reference

Identify EXCI calls embedded in Stored Procedures

Create requirements documentation for Application Development Groups

Coordinate removal of EXCI calls in Stored Procedures.

MQ Shared Queues – Provide mainframe subject matter expertise to make in-house messaging applications HA compliant.

Provide Enterprise Infrastructure with requirements for MQ Shared Queues

Coordination of remediation activities

Decommissioning of legacy messaging middleware applications

Batch VSAM Remediation – Provide mainframe subject matter expertise to implement Record Level Sharing (RLS) to VSAM that may be shared across CICS regions in a Highly Available mainframe environment.

Identify MacKinney Dynamic Allocation/Deallocation Jobs

Assist design of MacKinney Solution

Identify all Batch Jobs using MQ

Assist in design of batch MQ Shared Queue Solution

Required Skills

10+ years Mainframe technical architecture and Development Experience.

Expertise in the follow Mainframe disciplines:
Expertise in Mainframe Legacy Application Modernization

Cobol

CICS

MQ

DB2 & VSAM

Online and Batch Programming

Experienced in Mainframe Testing practices and procedures

REXX Programming

Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.

Financial Services industry experience a must.

Wealth Management/Brokerage preferred.

Preferred experience in Core Account & Bank Processing functions

Consulting Experience preferred
