The Bulletproof team is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Magento Developer to join our E-Commerce team and help us build a world-class company.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining the suite of Bulletproof’s websites, focusing primarily on site code and Magento templates
  • Work within the Magento templates to implement new features and functionality
  • Research, install, and configure various Magento Extensions
  • Create Magento site from an approved design to a functional storefront
  • Extend Magento functionality through custom programming
  • Build and test for cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility: mobile, tablet, PC
  • Create custom modules and store design
  • Perform maintenance of platforms and database migrations performance
  • Work on other projects as assigned by the manager
  • Implement and manage the integration with Bulletproof’s backend processing

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of PHP5 and MySQL programming
  • 3+ years of Magento experience
  • S trong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Certified Magento Developer a plus
  • Experience with developing customer plugins and components for Magento
  • Working knowledge of Object Oriented programming principles
  • Experience in UNIX systems on a user level
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Working knowledge with PHP frameworks such as Zend Framework or Symfony
  • Strong knowledge of Design Patterns and Application Lifecycle
  • Strong middle weight scripting language (preferably Python)
  • REST and SOAP API development experience (building, defining, and implementing)
  • Familiar with source code control systems, such as git or svn
  • Strong Unit Testing experience
  • QA Experience
  • Working familiarity with NetSuite, Cybersource, Avalara, SailThru, and Zendesk
  • Excellent communication skills and development approach
  • Able to apply high-level problem-solving abilities and logical analysis skills
  • Experience developing a multi-vendor/multi-store solution
  • General Specialist

This is not a typical office job. The Bulletproof team is distributed across North America, but this role will be based firmly in the Seattle area.
