Logistics Programmer Co-Op

Develop new reports to provide information for beer distribution efforts.

  • Support Logistics Systems staff in ad hoc data analysis.
  • Develop form-based applications to integrate and automate existing data collection processes.
  • Maintain existing programs, applications, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Opportunity to develop SAS skills, VB, visual analytics
  • Work within a team and across functions to solve key business issues
  • Access to a Sr Analyst/Manager with significant technical expertise to serve as your mentor.
  • Ability to work with the operations department and manage data throughout Anheuser-Busch’s North American Zone.
  • Interacting with customer groups within corporate logistics to understand requirements to build business cases impacting:
    • 3 quarters of a billion dollars
    • 1 billion budget for the North American Zone
    • 12 US Domestic Breweries, 8 Craft Breweries and 900 Wholly-Owned Distributors (WODs)
    • Material Management, Warehouse Management, Transportation, Inventory Management, Footprint Mgt, Trades returns Management
  • Potential to interact with IT function to understand access to databases.
  • Exposure to Analyst role by spending time harvesting data and data mining. In order to help Anheuser-Busch identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Job Qualifications

    • Full time student with at least one year of remaining undergraduate work in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Management Information Systems or related degree-seeking field.
    • Minimum of 6 credit hours completed in an object-oriented programming language.
    • Proficient in at least one programming language.
    • Knowledge of Visual Basic programming language.
    • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Windows and Office applications).
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
    • Self-motivated with good problem solving skills.
    • Knowledge of SAS language a plus.
    • Knowledge of database relationships and SQL a plus.
    • Flexible work schedule: 3-5 days per week, at least 20 hours (opportunity to work full-time in summer).
