Loan Operations Specialist (Loan Processing)

21st Century Bank, a leading MN SBA Preferred Lender and an active community partner since 1917 have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Loan Processing Specialistto join our team at our Minneapolis Branch conveniently located in the North Loop/Warehouse district. (Corner of Washington and Hennepin Ave.)

This position will be responsible for:

• Handling post-closing collateral issues, including communicating with title companies and the DMV, communicating with internal business partners regarding documentation issues, and working with Portfolio Managers and the in-house Legal team to resolve various collateral perfection issues.
• Tracking, analyzing, and organizing collateral insurance.
• Processing paid loan files.
• Updating the Bank’s internal core system as necessary.
• Reviewing monthly reports and ensuring their accuracy.
• Assisting with various internal audit projects.
• Communicating with customers and internal business partners regarding various loan and administrative issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in loan operations at a commercial bank – consumer and business loans.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with collateral issues, including mortgage documents, UCC filings, vehicle titles, real estate title policies, collateral insurance, and flood determinations.
• Knowledge of various types of insurance coverage.
• Proficiency in MS office- WORD and Excel
• Customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using ARTA software.
• Experience working with Jack Henry software.
• Experience drafting loan documents.
