Loan Operations Associate

Summary

Responsible for preparing all loan documentation and transaction files in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, as well as, state and federal regulations, processing all loan related transactions including respective accounting entries & setting up new customer records into the Loan System database.

Secondary responsibilities include, but are not limited to post closing administration of loan documents and monitoring, providing excellent customer service, and adherence to all policy and procedures of the Bank.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Analyze and interpret loan documents in order to set up all new loan customers into the loan system.

Process all loan related transactions into the loan system (including respective accounting entries) in a timely and accurate manner.

Book and manage a portfolio of construction to perm & loan term mortgage loans, including the management and tracking of Escrow & PMI Payments.

Assist with the tracking of insurance and working client managers in obtaining proof of coverage if not automatically provided. Process the booking of force placed insurance policies as needed.

Review documents to ensure items have been properly executed, all documents have been provided as per the loan agreement or other such controlling document, items requiring filing with a governmental agency have been properly filed or submitted for filing. Scan documents into the central database.

File UCC’s and Deeds if applicable. File terminations documents for loans when paid in full. Follow for the original filed documents.

Ensure UCC’s are entered into the iLien system for future tracking and monitoring.

Work closely with entire management staff to ensure operational efficiency and unmatched customer satisfaction

Continue educational opportunities within the industry to ensure best practices are utilized and that all regulatory requirements are met.

Skills & Competencies

Knowledge & Understanding of Construction to Perms, Long Term Mortgage products, escrow management.

Understanding of Regulations pertaining to Consumer Loans.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

MS Word, Excel, and Windows OS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work in a TEAM structure, with minimal supervision.

Banking and/or accounting background helpful

Qualifications

2+ years of loan operations experience.

4 year College Degree or comparable work related experience
