Position Summary / Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Linux System Administrator to join our team onsite at Hill AFB, Utah to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

In this role, the individual will provide junior level support to the Solaris and Linux system administration division.

This position requires considerable work outside of core hours and rotating on call responsibilities. Some limited travel may be required.

Position Requirements:
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED / DoD Secret Clearance Required!

Bachelor’s Degree in an IT related field and minimum 3 years of related experience or equivalent.

DoD 8570 Certification: Security + CE

Installation, configuration, and management of Solaris/Linux servers

Provide 1st level support including on-call after hours support as required

Coordinate support efforts between inter-departmental groups

Troubleshoot and resolve system problems and performance issues

Administer users, groups, passwords, and other aspects of security

Assist in the design and implementation of a centralized LDAP user authentication system

Monitor system logs and activities on all servers

Maintain formal documentation of managed systems

Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our UNIX environment

Assist with enterprise backup solution for all UNIX systems

Provide a monthly report, due on the 5th day of each month, detailing work performed during the preceding month for the assigned tasks and hours worked.
