Education —

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of relational database environments.

• Working knowledge of the following operating systems: o Red Hat Linux o Windows Server /2012 o Windows 7 Professional

• Knowledge of project management techniques and Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies.

• Familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project.

• Strong understanding of design and development of distributed Linux applications.

• Familiar with various network architectures and protocols.

• Familiar with SAN and enterprise storage solutions.

• Familiar with security administration, firewall configuration and administration and VPN’s.

• Must be able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Experience—

Three to Five year experience with Red Hat Linux in distributed Client/Server environment; knowledge and some experience in Windows administration; knowledge of network internals. Function: Plan, implement, maintain, administer and manage all virtual Red Hat Linux infrastructure, including security related configuration and perform other related functions as designated by the Senior Manager, Systems and Operations Services Essential Duties:

• Configure, implement, maintain, distribute and document server and environment hardware and software.

• Monitor, manage, and document system performance.

• Report significant capacity issues in a timely manner to the Senior Manager, Systems and Operations Services.

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures related to Red Hat Linux platform in AWS. * Act as internal consultant to Application Services and other group departments as appropriate. * Perform Red Hat Linux shell scripting and administrative functions under the supervision of the Senior Manager of Systems and Operations Services.

• Work with Network, Storage and Security Services department to ensure hardening of systems and patches are being applied as necessary.

• Work with vendors and users in the planning, implementation, change control, testing, documentation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and problem resolution and disaster recovery for all assigned systems.

• Fulfill administrative reporting requirements.

• Work with Database administrators as necessary to support the Bank’s database environment. * Work within the Bank’s storage area network environment to support systems within that infrastructure.
