Leisure Travel Manager

Global Travel is a full-service travel agency headquartered in Boise, ID with retail locations in Idaho, Washington and Northern California. We are a proud member of the Virtuoso network for the leisure division, serving premium and luxury travelers. We are focused on growth of both our employee and independent contractor network.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Oversee day to day Leisure Team, the mentoring and supporting of staff in all aspects of the day to day operations.
  • Analyze, report and improve on performance, growth, and sales for all Leisure Travel Advisors
  • Monitor sales goals and maximize preferred supplier relationships
  • Reviews and analyzes performance at the end of each day, week, month, quarter and year to increase efficiency and exceed the customer experience.
  • Ensure responds times with customer inquiries are met by managing the CRM information on a regular basis.
  • Provides ongoing coaching, training, and motivation to team to ensure success
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, team meetings, and coaching and counseling sessions as needed
  • Develop policies, procedures, and scripts to enhance overall efficiency within the Leisure department
  • Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researches and explores answers and alternative solutions; implements solutions; escalates unresolved problems.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years plus in the leisure travel business environment, with management experience.
  • History of working with and developing an independent contractor network preferred
  • Strong management & leadership skills – staff motivation, coaching/training, achieving business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to get positive results through influence, leadership, coaching and demonstration.
  • Computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to navigate through computer systems.
  • Experience with Apollo GDS, Client Base and ARC systems preferred.
  • Knowledge and background of working with tour operators, cruises, hotels and airlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to change
  • Project Management experience preferred
