Lead Programmer Analyst- AFP

Broadridge is a leading global provider of technology-based outsourcing solutions to the financial services industry. We presently have a full time / direct hire opportunity for a Lead Mainframe Programmer Analyst out of our Deer Park, NY location.

• In this role you will, investigate system and programming problems, propose solutions and recommend design improvements for increased efficiency. You’ll handle complex programming assignments and develop mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, VSAM and DB2.
• Analyze product requirements and translate them into detailed system functionality by working with internal organizations and/or clients.
• You’ll be updating graphic Logos, Fonts, Overlays, PDEFs, FDEFS, and PSEGS for client documents. Managing workload to completion in timeframes provided to meet client deadlines.
• You’ll develop architectural components in support of business requirements and standards for application development;
• You will build system and program test plans and procedures
• Develops test data and performs the unit testing ensuring that the programs perform according to program specifications.
• You’ll assist less experienced programmers in the coding, testing and debugging of application programs Special short-term projects may be assigned. *DICE_TA *LI-ME1
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent IT experience.
• 10 or more years of experience writing and testing code using Cobol, CICS, VSAM and DB2.

Technical abilities to include, but not limited to the following: Elixir, StreamWeaver, In Design, Native AFP, PDF and ACIF experience. Exstream Dialog, Cobol and JCL knowledge a plus.

• Solid communication skills as well as analytical capabilities
