Lead Financial Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare the financial reporting, closing, forecasting and analysis monthly to compare numbers versus our plan, forecast and prior year and to report and present any variances (+/-) for each of the scenarios. Comparisons are also done for quarter, year-to-date and total year. Analyze operational results for variances of actual to plan and prior year for P&L and balance sheet accounts and provide financial narratives summarizing significant variances.
• Prepare the monthly calculation of the general, extended, and specific warranty reserves. Partner with the business leaders to ensure all estimates are updated and validated with supporting data. Independently track costs related to all specific warranty matters.
• Drive the annual planning and monthly forecasting process for the operational leaders. Develop presentations to articulate planned and forecasted amounts.
• Develop ad hoc scenarios and analysis as needed.
• Develop financial reports and operation tools and analysis for different scenarios as they arise.
• Develop standard customer-validated financial reporting packages.
• Document standard work for all closing, reporting and forecasting activities.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years plus the education listed below.
• Experience in the Supply Chain industry
• Understanding P&L’s, balance sheets and other financial analyses to make sound decisions for reporting or presentations for management. Past experiences with public and private accounting/finance companies/firms a plus.
• Microsoft Work, Excel, Access and PowerPoint in addition to learning new software as needed.

Educational Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant is a plus
