Lake Charles, LA – Engineer Mechanical 4

Development of repairs and providing engineering guidance in support of aircraft depot maintenance. Develop engineering dispositions, provide oversight of subcontract engineering dispositions, and coordinate between NGAS and NGTS Engineering organizations. Prior experience in a depot sustainment environment for large/transport category aircraft is required. The ability to evaluate depot requirements for repair and inspection is required. Person will be as a liaison between NGTS/NGAS engineers on-site and NGAS engineers in Melbourne, FL. Daily status reports will be expected of this person. The ability to obtain a secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
STEM Bachelor of Science degree

Experience in Aerospace Structural Design. Structural Analysis and/or MRB

Experience developing repairs for metallic aircraft structure

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Experience interpreting engineering detail and assembly drawings.

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required.

Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result.

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously.

Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:
People with experience on aging aircraft

Depo level maintenance work

Experience with 707 or similar aircraft

STEM Master’s or PhD
