Apogee Integration is seeking a Jr Systems Engineer.

Location : Chantilly, VA

Overview :

The primary objective of the service management team is supporting enterprise systems engineering is to work closely with customer-designated IT and mission application service providers to ensure the development, maturation, and integration of shared services with the mission architecture. The services team is responsible for coordinating and supporting requirements and CONOPS, and architectures in the support of the customer’s migration to shared IT and mission application services; overseeing the acquisition-level closure of service requirements; independent verification, validation and test in support of delivered service capabilities and mission closure, overseeing SED readiness events in support of enterprise, system and acquisition-level milestones; leading and supporting project planning; assessing schedule and risk; generating and presenting engineering briefings; and interfacing with numerous customers.

This position will serve as a member of the services management team in support of the Systems Engineering Directorate. The candidate will support teams coordinating, supporting and assessing requirements, CONOPs and architecture products, assessing services schedule and risks, supporting test and verification strategy and system integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities. The selected candidate should have experience with the following:

  • End to end assessment of service transition strategy, transition plans, impacts to requirements allocation, and schedule dependencies
  • Experience with common service requirements at the function, system, and enterprise levels
  • Knowledge in IT Cloud transitions from a requirements generation, test and requirements closure standpoint Experience with verification and validation management for services
  • Experience supporting integration of IT services, networks, or mission application
  • Experience reviewing change evaluation reports for major and emergency changes and assess the impact to service level and enterprise requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Requires 0 to 4 years professional experience (0-2 years of experience= Level 1 or 3-4 years= Level 2)
  • BS in engineering, physics, IT, or related technical degree
  • Robust written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized especially with project plans
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
