Junior Software Engineer

Advanced Resource Management Solutions a Women Owned Small Business, located in Kennewick, WA is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to support client activities on the Hanford Site.

WORK LOCATION:

Hanford Site, (subject to change).

Position is full time (4/10s schedule) Alternative schedules (example – 8 x 9 schedule) may be coordinated with and approved by the BTR.

Work including meetings may also be conducted on the Hanford site at various locations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide software engineering support to create, develop, operate and maintain software programs at the Hanford site. Application development also includes the assessment, maintenance, documentation, modernization, testing and program implementation functions. Responsibilities may include the support of legacy systems and the production of new systems. The Subcontractor shall provide enterprise application services by supplying an adequately and appropriately skilled IT professional.

Software Engineer Services (SES) requires a junior software engineer who will provide support for a variety of applications developed in C# and Active Service Pages (ASP.NET) with back ends developed in SQL Server and Oracle. Support can also include backup support for website applications developed in ColdFusion and ASP.NET. Support includes helping to troubleshoot production problems and complete System Change Requests (SCRs). The software engineer for this project should be able to:

Troubleshoot software production issues
Interface with databases
Develop using .NET technology
Develop ASP.NET website changes using Visual Studio IDE
Develop ColdFusion website changes using Adobe ColdFusion IDE
Understand and follow basic Software Development Process
Develop technical documentation

The software engineer will work directly with a senior software engineer, other project software engineers, the project manager, and customer subject matter experts.

BASIC/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 0-2 years software development experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

0-2 years’ only – Development/programmer experience with .NET (C# and/or ASP.NET), ColdFusion, or similar technology
0-2 years’ only – Experience with ColdFusion Builder, Adobe Dreamweaver, Visual Studio or similar software
0-2 years’ only – Experience with relational database design
0-2 years’ only – Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)

DURATION

Duration is anticipated from Date of Hire through 9/30/2017, with options for extensions.

PER DIEM

Travel and living expenses are not authorized for this position.
