Junior Software Developer

Position Overview:
The Junior Software Developer is responsible for developing, modifying, and maintaining software applications and components. This position provides timely, accurate and quality code design and construction for Kuder products.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop code per specifications using specified programming languages, tools, and techniques.
  • Implement, maintain and test new and existing software modules and applications.
  • Complete development work for all assigned projects by established deadlines agreed to by both the client and project team members.
  • Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
  • Identification and correction of defects in existing software systems.
  • Work with Development Team to determine specifications for functional requirements.
  • Provide analysis for technical solutions based on functional requirements.
  • Investigation and development of skills in new software technologies.
  • Creation of technical specifications, test plans, and operational guides.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major, or equivalent job experience
  • 1-2+ years of demonstrated knowledge of web-based applications
  • 1-2+ years of demonstrated knowledge of relational database concepts
  • 1-2+ years of experience supporting production systems in a production environment
  • Excellent understanding of Object Oriented programming
  • Knowledge of Dependency Injection
  • Continuous Integration experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • 1-2+ years of experience working with the following technologies/tools/frameworks:
  • Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Git Version Control
  • .NET, VB.NET and C#
  • ORM tools, such as Entity Framework or NHibernate
  • T-SQL
  • JavaScript libraries, such as jQuery, Knockout and/or Bootstrap
  • MVC / MVP design patterns
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple projects over extended amount of time.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), webinar tools, and Internet-based systems and programs.
