Description:

The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing media for interactive web- and computer-based training products and/or instructor-led training materials as part of a team of instructional designers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). The ideal candidate will create top quality graphic designs and illustrations, as well as develop animations, interactive activities, and other media. The candidate must be a self-starter who takes ownership of their work under some supervision. Attention to detail is required for this position, as well as demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload, manage time efficiently, and work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

– Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic/Multimedia Design, Art, or similar field of study from an accredited college or university is required. A combination of education and work experience may be considered (4 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

– The candidate must possess strong graphic design and illustration skills.

– Demonstrated experience with the following is required: interactive multimedia applications including Flash CS3 or higher, basic programming in Actionscript and/or Adobe Animate (including basic programming in HTML5) plus Photoshop and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

– ***An online portfolio is required.***

– Solid interpersonal and communication skills are a required, including the ability to interact effectively in a team environment.

DESIRED SKILLS:

– The life cycle of design and programming of training content from concept through project completion

– Video and audio production

– Composica or other e-learning authoring tools

– Illustrator, Captivate, 3D Studio Max, Maya, Final Cut Pro applications

– HTML, Javascript, XML programming

– Learning Management Systems and SCORM and Sect. 508 compliancy
