Junior DevOps Engineer

What you’ll be doing:

• Design & manage the deployment process for 30+ clients.
• “Champion” of quality, performance, and integrity of the development platform.
• Work with developers, client services, and business analysis to deploy code on a scheduled basis.
• Monitor application and system performance & security.
• Resident expert on SCM, infrastructure, deployments, and other necessary tools.
• Troubleshoot & Develop code on Magento Enterprise & Community platform.
• Assess, plan, and solve complex business problems.
• Work with GIT repositories and methodologies.
• Coordinate with project managers to accomplish tasks on-time and on-budget.
• Optimize the Magento Platform for speed and performance.
• Perform code reviews.

Must Have:

• Strong PHP knowledge with strong understanding of programming patterns.
• Advanced knowledge of MySQL queries and administration.
• Advanced experience with jQuery, JS, XML, HTML, and other relevant frontend technologies.
• Experience with GIT and deployment methodologies.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Comfortable with tools such as: Vagrant, Docker, Jenkins, Nagios, Grunt, Node.js, Chef, Puppet, etc.
• Experience in team-based web development
• MUST be local to Atlanta, GA area or be willing to relocate.
• BA Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Stuff that would Impress us:

• Extensive eCommerce development experience, specifically Magento and/or Shopify.
• Active community contributions to open source projects.
• Magento Certified.
• Experience with non LAMP technologies such as SQL, .NET, Java, etc.
• You currently hold shuffleboard and/or ping-pong bragging rights.
