The Junior Web Applications Developer is part of an agiledevelopment team building and supporting enterprise grade software systems ontop of a containerized development stack. The Junior Web Applications Developer is involved in testing anddevelopment. This is a full-timeposition at our Greenville corporate office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Working with anagile team to develop, test, and maintain web-based business applications

Develop, and unittest applications in accordance with established standards

Analyzing andresolving technical and application problems Develops user interfaces to Internet/Intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests. Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers Creates multimedia applications by using authoring tools Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms Supports users by utilizing help desk software Interfaces with client based Tier 1 Support personnel Updates job knowledge by researching new Internet/Intranet technologies and software products; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Desired Skills& Experience Core Competency Requirements include working knowledge of:

Object Oriented Programming concepts

Relational database design and querying concepts

Laravel PHP Framework, versions 4.2, 5.2, and5.4

Debugging concepts and practices

Version control concepts

Preferred Competency Requirements include familiarity with:
Agile development methodologies

Unit testing theory
