Jr. Systems Administrator

Our Tech Operations team plays a key role in the design and implementation of our infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for the security, stability, and scalability of our systems. This Junior Systems Administration role is an important piece of developing the overall strategy for our infrastructure and will be looked to as the point person for our technical operations.

Your responsibilities will include

Technical Operations:

• Manage relationship with remote contract providers
• Negotiate vendor contracts, manages cost
• Perform hardware/software installation
• Monitors status of hardware, troubleshoots issues

What RiskIQ is looking for:
Minimum qualifications:

• 2 years of relevant technical experience in system administration or IT operations.
• Experience with system administration of various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, OS X, ChromeOS, and Android.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience providing infrastructure solutions for high profile internal customers.
• Understanding of complex IT infrastructure and ability to troubleshoot issues.
• Understanding of IT change management best practices.
• Systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive with the ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and make progress in areas where a high ambiguity and uncertainty exist.
• Strong customer service, organizational, prioritization, multitasking, communication and leadership skills.

Experience with some of the following:

• Highly available 24×7 production environments.
• Administration of Servers (Linux), Databases (MySQL), and Networks.
• Automation and monitoring (Nagios, Cacti, Graphite)
• Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Ruby.
• Puppet, Chef or other configuration management tools
