Job Description

We have an opening for a Junior Facilities/IT Technician. The position will involve supporting the PAU Community by ensuring our facilities and IT equipment are maintained and working properly. This is a role appropriate for junior types looking for more industry experience. Must be local, with ability and willingness to work onsite in Palo Alto and Los Altos. This is a great opportunity to learn and grow your skill-set.

Job Duties

• Respond to service desk tickets, and escalate as needed.
• Desktop support for Mac and Windows computers.
• Classroom maintenance and a/v support.
• Facilities assistance
• Restocking copiers/printers
• Classroom maintenance (clean white boards, reset furniture, secure doors)
• Spot-clean carpets and replace light bulbs
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Office/Google Apps
• Helpdesk, tech support, facilities work, and/or desktop support experience
• Ability to work in fast paced changing environment
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
• Reliable transportation as time will be split between Palo Alto and Los Altos campuses.
• Able to work a rotating schedule. Primary hours are M-F 2-10pm.
• Excellent communication skills
• “Can do” attitude, desire to learn, team player
