Jr. Front End Developer

Murad seeks a talented Junior Web Frontend Developer who possesses experience in developing eCommerce websites and applications. Candidates will have knowledge and experience in developing custom features and functionality on PHP platforms. This position is an integral part of the eCommerce and Online Marketing team and will be involved in a variety of interesting and challenging projects which will grow the online business.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with eCommerce stakeholders, web development team and IT staff on developing custom web applications for Murad.com, its mobile storefront, and its micro-sites
• Collaborate with the back-end developers on translating visual and written designs based on business and functional requirements into efficient frontend components (HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
• Work closely with back-end developers to ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development life cycle
• Apply front-end design patterns, trends and best practices to ensure sites with optimal speed and cross-browsers compatible and high usability
• Practical knowledge of web page optimization techniques for fast page load times
• Always intrigued by new technology and constantly finding new ways developing shareable and solid code
• Required Qualifications
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field
• 1-2 years as a front-end developer or related work experience
• A strong appreciation for the importance of usability in web applications
• knowledge with latest JavaScript Technology (jQuery, Backbone, RequireJs, AngulaJS, Modernizr, JSLint or similar JavaScript libraries)
• Experience with Responsive Design
• Experience with preprocessors framework/library such as: SASS/SCSS/LESS and/or CoffeeScript
• Expert level expertise in HTML, JavaScript and CSS including cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with source code control systems (Subversion, Git)
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Agile software development
• Experience in eCommerce website development
• Experience in mobile website development
• Experience in website development on WordPress
