Core Processing Technology delivers timely solutions using the best design and implementation tools, including Service Oriented Architecture and a Lean/Agile development framework, in order to continuously improve business processes while taking an outside-in, customer-centric perspective.

Core Processing is a technology organization of circa 3,800 IT professionals within the Corporate Investment Bank division, responsible for the development of software solutions for the CIB Back Office. Solutions span all asset types, from trade capture to the general ledger, including (but not limited to); trade management, settlement, cash management, reference data & accounting.

Responsibilities:
As an application developer the candidate will be required to provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs for a trading systems and Back Office functions. The Candidate will need to perform design and development and research the various technology standards, incorporate and ensure adherence to the JPMC standards. The candidate will need to do Proof of Concepts, develop and code complex technology problems, help the junior developers on the team and support testing of the various modules or components. Candidate will work on existing platform, developing new functionality and fixing bugs. Current platform developed with different Spring framework features ( IOD/APO/Integration/Batch/Remote), mybatis, JSF in a SOA Architecture.

Qualifications

5 plus years of Applications Development experience

Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills

3 plus years of Object Oriented Analysis & Design

3 plus years development experience in: Java 1.7/1.8, J2SE, Spring Framework, ORM/JTA, Web Services, TDD

3 plus years of experience in XML technologies and various parsers like JAXB or JiBX

3 plus years of development in the Oracle including Stored procedures and in tuning SQL statements, writing indexes

3 plus years of development with Hibernate/i-Batis

Experience of multithreaded systems

3-4 years in a financial industry support experience is preferred. (Brokerage/banking is preferable)

Unix experience and be able to write shell scripts or debug them

Tuning Java applications and experience with running profilers and detecting and resolving various performance issues and memory leak issues

Experience with Trading / compliance / portfolio management applications

Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.

Strong research, investigation and evaluation skills. Takes personal initiative, conscientiousness and complete follow-through on the areas of responsibilities.

Preferred:
Familiarity with advanced design patterns and advanced Java concepts

TDD , Unit Test, Integration Test Artifacts

Continuous integration methodology and Automated testing tools is a big plus

Experience designing Microservices architecture and NoSQL database is a plus

Experience with successful implementations of highly scalable and highly available systems in a multi-tier environment.
