National healthcare company in Lincoln, Nebraska needs Java software developers. These positions offer unique career opportunities to be involved with a company that provides an enterprise-level Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Management system to eye care professionals. The system is deployed into individual office settings, either directly or using cloud-hosted servers. A consolidated web-based patient portal is also provided to serve eye care patients.

Responsibilities

· Work as part of a team to design, develop and implement feature rich Practice Management solutions.

· Troubleshoot and “drill down” to the root cause of software issues that arise internally and in the field.

· Communicate effectively and contribute new ideas and solutions to the team.

· Fast learner and able to work independently.

Minimum qualifications:

· Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.

· Programming experience using Java, SQL, J2EE

· Experience developing using OOP, design patterns and Javadoc

Desired skills/qualifications:

· Hibernate · RDBMS / PostgreSQL

Responsibilities:
Under this contract, Vencore supports the United States Air Force in their worldwide mission to operate and maintain the U.S. Atomic Energy Detection System. The Atomic Energy Detection System monitors foreign compliance with the treaties limiting nuclear testing.

Vencore provides scientific, engineering, analytical services and support for the modernization of legacy government systems. Efforts support the development of advanced sensor data exploitation and evaluation methodologies using advanced scientific techniques and leading edge software technologies.

The ideal candidate for this position is a key contributor for Java/JavaFX 8 application development on a small software development team (10 developers). The candidate will work with government stakeholders and Team Vencore personnel to design, develop, test, and maintain software components in both desktop and server environments. This role includes technical writing assignments to satisfy contractually obligated documentation deliverables.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and direction in the development and/or modification of computer-based scientific, technical, and business software systems written primarily in Java 8
  • Work with team to integrate open source, commercial, and government software applications to provide solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Review system and software requirements to understand constraints, limitations, and opportunities for the design of a given software component
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Infrastructure & Security, and Science teams to balance customer expectations and objectives with Team Vencore’s collective solutions
  • Participate in team and customer reviews to ensure adherence to defined standards and requirements traceability
  • Complete software engineering activities on-time by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contribute to team meetings; troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
  • Update job knowledge by researching new information system technologies and software products; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations

Qualifications:
Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.

Must be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

Desired qualifications include:
