Java & Python Software Developer, Security Master

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skill Set

• At least 5 years of experience with Java (1.8 preferred) Python and Scala
• NoSQL Databases
• SQL, Angular JS, javascript, version control (git) and html (a plus)
• Agile development environment with use of Jira

Functional Skill Set

• Past role(s) within electronic trading, and a thorough understanding of financial instruments including equities, debt instruments, futures, and options
• Good written and oral communication skills

Required Experience

• Experience working with highly concurrent and performant system development
• Experience with Security Master or Market Data infrastructure

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Helping our client develop the next-generation Security Master platform
• Helping the team with various projects pertaining to migration, automation and development
• Fixing bugs and issues in existing production support platforms
• Implementing enhancement and adding new functionality in existing support UI
• Implementing and supporting new execution venues
• Validating data changes and updating the platform accordingly through the UI
• Performing code reviews
