Java Developer

Journal Technologies’ core product, eCourt, is a web-based case management system for justice agencies (courts, district attorneys, probation departments, etc). We have been working with government agencies for more than 25 years, and serve over 500 courts and justice agencies in 42 states and internationally.

We are looking for a Java developer responsible for building Java applications. This includes anything between complex groups of back-end services and their client-end counterparts. Your primary responsibility will be to design and develop these applications and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality are essential.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 4+ years of professional application development using Java.
• Strong understanding of Javascript, SQL, Spring, Hibernate, Bootstrap, CSS
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Ablility to write clean, readable Java code

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java
• Experience with Spring MVC framework.
• Hibernate or other Object Relational Mappers.
• Working knowledge of code repositories such as Git.
• Front-end technologies Bootstrap, React and SASS.
