Job Description:

Profile:

o Agile/Scrum

o Java 1.7 and up

o Spring

o Aka/Multi-threading (horizontally scaling)

o Oracle 11g familiarity (SQL)

· ExaData

o Back-end/Service layer

o Jenkins , GIT Preferred

· Pricing and Airline scaling experience

EDUCATION:

· BS, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems, or equivalent formal training preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Software Engineer or equivalent role required.

· Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer required, with no sponsorship needed now or in the future of an employment-based visa.

· Minimum of 5 years work experience with Java development preferred

· Minimum of 5 years work experience with back-end Java development preferred

· Experience with Java version 1.7 or newer preferred.

· Experience utilizing the Eclipse IDE for Java in a work environment preferred.

· Experience developing within the Spring framework in a work environment preferred.

· Experience utilizing Akka preferred.

· Experience with Java development within a multi-threaded or parallel processing environment preferred.

· Ability to write plSQL statements or stored procedures to an Oracle database preferred.

· Exadata experience preferred.

· Airline industry knowledge or transportation industry knowledge preferred.

· Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred.

· ATPCO experience and/or knowledge preferred.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

· May be asked on occasions to lift and/or pull weights loads of approx. 20 lbs. on a periodic basis.

· May require extended work hours per Leaders’ request.

· May be asked to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop on a periodic basis.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Core Knowledge:

· Proficient knowledge of software development, practice, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and / or work experience.

· Proficient knowledge of at least one required programming language.

· Excellent partnering, communication, and negotiation skills in working with various Technology or partner Teams.

· Able to analyze small to medium and vague Business or technical problems, articulating the problem or root cause, and translating the analysis into viable solution recommendations.

· Able to work effectively in a strong Customer service / team oriented environment.

· Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

· Limited travel with potential for increased/decreased travel based upon Technology Department needs.

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
