Java Developer

Education:

4-yr College Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Responsibilities :

• Participate in the development of multi-tier distributed application in a Java and DB2LUW environment
• Work with business owners to gather requirements, prepare functional specifications, form project plans and communicate progress throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Analyze and design technical solutions for complex business requirements

• Provide proactive advice and feedback throughout the development lifecycle for prevention and early correction of quality problems.

Skills :

Required:

• 5+ years of application development using Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• 3+ years in an enterprise information technology environment developing Java based client-server applications using Java, JSP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience in developing applications using SQL against relational databases including DB2LUW
• Java EE Technologies (JAX-RS, JAX-WS, JPA)
• Experience with Git/TFS
• Working experience of JavaScript frameworks like ExtJS and JQuery

• Working experience in use and deployment of Web Services using SOAP and RESTFUL models.
• Effective independent and team player and self-starter with high adaptability to new technologies.
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills
• Experience developing and supporting mission critical applications running 24×7

Preferred:

• Experience with JBoss, Fortify, Jenkins
• Experience with IBM Datastage
• Good understanding of design patterns and user interface design
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, strategies and automated tools
