Sr. Systems Engineer

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The Senior Systems Engineer works directly with the Director of Infrastructure and is primarily responsible for collaborating to create and release infrastructure solutions, implement automation of repetitive tasks, help promote adherence to standardized procedures, and keep our stack running properly and efficiently.
  • If you are our ideal candidate, you will directly impact our customer experience by creating clean, maintainable, intuitive build and installation solutions using Kubernetes. You will be working alongside product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • You will help automate as much work that makes sense so that we can ensure we deliver products and releases on time and within scope.
  • You will also be working directly with the engineering teams to assist with technical support within our environment and also to develop, write, and ensure that all aspects of the code are tested in an efficient manner.

    • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


    Skills & Experience

  • The successful candidate must have 5+ years experience:
  • Working with Terraform, Jenkins, Git, docker, Jenkins, Git, and automated test suites
  • Working with object oriented and/or scripting languages in a DevOps capacity
  • Working with Amazon Web Services
  • Working in a production Linux environment, preferably Ubuntu or Red Hat
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience working with Python and nodejs in a DevOps capacity
  • Thorough understanding of database fundamentals
  • Working in a production Kubernetes environment
